About
About SuperDealCheck
One place to see what your groceries cost at twelve supermarkets, and which choice is better for you, made by people who do the weekly shopping themselves.
Who we are
We are a small group of IT people living in the Netherlands, most of us in and around The Hague. We are also parents who do the weekly shopping, and we came here from other countries ourselves.
Why it was hard
Every supermarket has its own folder, its own app and its own way of writing prices. Comparing a litre of milk or a kilo of chicken across twelve of them took an evening, a "deal" often was not one, and the healthier choice was hidden in the small print.
What we built
Search for a product, or paste your whole list, and you see the same kind of product at every supermarket: price per kilo or litre, the offer of this week and the Nutri-Score side by side. Pick one supermarket and see your whole list there, line by line, with what you save.
What we promise
- Nobody can pay for a higher place.
- Every price comes from the supermarket's own website or folder.
- We never invent a Nutri-Score: no score means "unknown".
- When something is wrong, we fix it.
How you can help
Tell us when a price, a picture or a match is wrong, or when something is hard to use: mail info@hokimi.com. Every message is read by a person.

How results are ordered
By the product you meant, then price per unit, health and the size of the discount. Supermarkets take turns at the top, and advertising plays no part.
How we compare prices ›Where the data comes from
Prices and offers from the twelve supermarkets' own websites and folders, read every day. Nutri-Score from the supermarket or Open Food Facts; stores from OpenStreetMap.
